- Child Protection Policy
- The key principles of Garforth Villa’s Child Protection Policy are that:
- The child’s welfare is, and must always be, the paramount consideration
- Excessive pressure to succeed, displays of unfairness or other un-sportsman like behaviour witnessed by children and perpetrated by parents, managers or other adults may constitute an infringement of the club’s Child Protection Policy.
- All children and young people have a right to be protected from abuse regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual identity
- All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately
- The club will follow The Football Association’s Child Protection Policy Procedures and Practises
- All new volunteers working with the club will be vetted in accordance with the best practice recommended by the FA and all volunteers are required to complete a personal disclosure form submitted to the County FA
- Persons infringing the policy (in the opinion of the Management Committee) will be excluded from any involvement with the club
- The club has a delegated Child Protection Officer:
