Child Protection

The key principles of Garforth Villa’s Child Protection Policy are that:
The child’s welfare is, and must always be, the paramount consideration
Excessive pressure to succeed, displays of unfairness or other un-sportsman like behaviour witnessed by children and perpetrated by parents, managers or other adults may constitute an infringement of the club’s Child Protection Policy.
All children and young people have a right to be protected from abuse regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual identity
All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately
The club will follow The Football Association’s Child Protection Policy Procedures and Practises
All new volunteers working with the club will be vetted in accordance with the best practice recommended by the FA and all volunteers are required to complete a personal disclosure form submitted to the County FA
Persons infringing the policy (in the opinion of the Management Committee) will be excluded from any involvement with the club
