The lifeblood of any sport is at its grassroots level. World class footballers often begin their careers at grassroots football clubs like Garforth Villa FC. Football is one of the most popular sports in the country with both men and women participating in the sport.
Football is a fantastic way to meet people and make new friends, whilst keeping fit and building confidence at the same time. Children will often make friends for life through football. Many friendships that last for life are forged out there on the football pitch. There is an enormous social benefit for children getting involved and playing football.
If you would like to start playing football for a club in the Garforth area, then Garforth Villa Football Club has been coaching children's football in a fun, safe, all inclusive environment since 1970. We actually celebrating our 50 years right now!
If you have a child that is showing an interest in learning to play football, then why not bring them along to one of our organised training sessions. Please don't just arrive, get in touch with our club or one of our coaches first by visiting our Teams pages. Garforth Villa FC provides expert learning and coaching for children as young as 4-6 years old through our Mini Villa program, to their first football matches from under 7 years of age, right through to open age and maybe even Walking Football at a more sedately pace later.
All our Coaches are qualified to FA Level 1 or higher or working towards their qualification. Everyone at our club, who works with children has undergone safe guarding checks and we fully support The FA's Respect "we only do positive" campaign. We have a Welfare Officer you can discuss any concerns or queries with in confidence. We can therefore say we provide grassroots football coaching in a fun, safe, all inclusive environment.
